This is a list of things that need to be done prior to solo:
  1. On the faasafety.gov website, take the TFRs and Special Use Airspace course and print the certificate when finished.
  2. On the asf.org website, take the following courses and print the certificates:

    GPS for VFR Operations

    Weather Wise Ceiling and Visibility

    Weather Wise: Thunderstorms and ATC

    Runway Safety

    Know Before You Go

  3. On the jp23.net/aviation website, review the following links:

    -- read and understand the Private Pilot Procedures Manual
    -- be able to completely and accurately fill out a solo dispatch form (click here for the interactive version)
    -- review the Arlington Radio Ops page
    -- read the FAA Communications brochure

  4. Make sure you comply with 14 CFR 61.87
